For some, wine is more than simply a drink. It is a lifestyle and a passion. If you are of this way of thinking, or simply if you would like to learn more about wine, then it seems there are a number of learning tools out there. Even ones for your Android smartphone or tablet. In fact, you might be surprised as to how many apps are currently available. Well, to try and help sort through the app offerings, below are ten Android apps for wine lovers that you might want to check out.
Starting today’s list is a sort of all-in-one wine app. Vivino is designed to provide you with all sorts of information on all types of wine including prices, ratings and so on. Not to mention, you can use your camera to simply take an image of a wine bottle label to find out about the wine.
Wine Searcher is rather self-explanatory and provides a database of over 7 million wines to help you find the exact wine you are looking for and gives you a rough idea of prices too. The UI is not as nice as the last app, but the selection is quite big.
Delectable Wine is a very similar app to Vivino and offers much of the same features. As such, you can again find out all sorts of information on a variety of different wines. And you can also use the camera to snap the label and find information this way.
Hello Vino is another all-in-one type app and looks to be your pocket guide solution to wines. As such, you can quickly get wine recommendations, pairing suggestions for certain foods, wines ideas for gifts and all from your app. Not to mention, you can again use your camera to identify certain wines.
If you are a regular reader of the Wine Enthusiast magazine, then this might be the app for you. This is the accompanying app and offers a searchable database of all wines and the ability to read editor reviews on each of the wines. Not to mention, you can create your own reviews too.
