A few weeks back, we counted down the top 10 deal apps for Android, and while deals are great and all, in some cases, they sell out quickly and involve crazy lines and waits in order to get them. Coupons, however, are something that once you get them, you have until they expire to use them. Most of us get more coupons than we’ll ever need in our weekly newspaper, but we generally only care about a few of them. Smartphones have made many things easier, and couponing is yet another example. No longer do you have to fill envelopes up with coupons and sort through them in line at the store. There are plenty of Android apps that help you sort your coupons, and that give you even better deals than those in the paper. So, read on as we count down the top 10 best Android coupon apps.
SnipSnap allows you to take a picture of any physical coupon you want to use and store it on your phone. This allows you to easily sort and manage the all of your coupons. The app also uses your device’s GPS to alert you when you walk into a store you have coupons for. SnipSnap can also alert you when a coupon you have saved is about to expire. Finally, SnipSnap gives each coupon it offers a success rate, figured by other users who have tried that coupon. SnipSnap is free.
CouponCabin allows you to many of the same things as SnipSnap, but in a cleaner interface, in my opinion. The app allows you to break down all of the available coupons by category, store, expiration fates, and more. You can also add your favorite stores and get alerts when new coupons in certain categories are added. CouponCabin also shows the cheapest gas prices around. It is free on the Play Store.
TapSave is a coupon app that focuses mainly on coupons in retail stores. Let’s say you’re in Target and don’t have enough cash to buy everything you need. With TapSave, you can open up the app and search for a coupon for Target that may not be advertised in your local paper. You can also, of course use TapSave to buy things online and apply coupons to those purchases. Most stores allow you to purchase the product right in the app, making for a very simple process. TapSave is free.
GeoQpons, as you can tell by its name, really focuses on deals and stores near you, but still archives many coupons from major retailers, such as Target and WalMart. GeoQpons also gives you the ability to scan a barcode of an item and see if there are any better deals on it, or if any coupons are available. It, much like other apps, can also alert you when a coupon is about to expire. GeoQpons is free on the Play Store.
Best Coupons and Deals offers a lot of the same features as other couponing apps, but really needs some work in the design department. The screenshots of it in the Play Store were taken on a device running Froyo, which should really show you how dated the design is. Some features include hot deals, which send push notifications when an amazing deal is discovered, as well as the ability to add your coupons and sort them by date, store, and more.
