Top 5 Best College Football Apps

This time of year we have the College Football Bowl games, so we ran through a few apps that will help you follow your favorite collegiate football team. Keep up-to-date on all of the games – some offer pregame and postgame shows, breaking news, and notifications. There are a few apps that are nothing but college football, and a couple that will allow you to follow all sports, and we threw in one game type app as well. There are many terrific college apps designed specifically for only one team – for instance, if you followed the Tennessee Volunteers, there are three dozen apps for simply tracking that particular team.

NCAA Football Live Scores is a simple app for keeping track of your favorite college football scores with an update every minute and just recently updated for My Teams and live game comments.  Nothing too fancy (that is why it is number 10), but the developer promises more updates and features coming.

College Football Radio is different in that you can stream live audio of your favorite Division I college football teams – the app only provides live radio AND live scores.  You can view schedules and also listen to the app in the background while using other apps.

College Football Radio & Scores is a little more advanced and polished than the last app – with more teams and stations available for listening to live scores and highlights.  No matter where you are you can take your team with you – just click on your team and you are ready to catch up and if your favorite team is not listed, just email the developers and they will try and add them.

TheScore: Sports & Scores is a full-fledged app that will track all sports, but NCAA college teams can also be tracked – live scores, stats, and breaking news alerts, with box scores, betting odds, game previews, and game recaps.  If you install the widgets, you can see all of the scores right on your home screen.  It is compatible with Android 4.2+ devices.

ACC Football Challenge is touted as “the world’s first college gaming app.” Choose your favorite school and compete online in a “thrilling multiplayer football challenge,” where you can actually win prizes like a VIP trip to the ACC Championship game.  Compete against rival teams and then watch the ACC Network broadcasts to see what schools emerge victorious.
