Top 5 Adventure Games For Android

Mobile games have come quite a long way in the last few years, but no matter the platform or what kind of games you prefer, everyone needs a little adventure now and again. So, we’ve put together a list of some of the top Adventure games for Android. With all of the free time you might have coming up over the next few days, these games just might provide the excitement you need to carry you through.

Kicking off this list is an interactive storybook adventure geared towards the kids, so if you need something to keep the little ones occupied while you converse with the adults at this week’s family gatherings, this should do the trick. While this is essentially a story, kids can engage with it by finding hidden objects throughout the book, and at the end of the story if they find every hidden star they can unlock a secret scene. There’s also plenty of 3D animation on offer which is always entertaining.

This is another game aimed at the kids, although this time it’s a proper game. Disney’s Miles From Tomorrowland plays out like a sidescrolling runner with loads of missions to complete, and as you race along on your mechanical ostrich you can do tricks and collect items like rare space rocks to increase your high score.

Shipwreck is a mix of adventure, puzzle, and survival, and survival is the main goal as you end up stranded (shipwrecked) on a deserted island with no way off it. Search the island for clues, supplies, and other means to bring about your own salvation. Maps are randomly generated too so no two play sessions should feel the same.

Most people should be familiar with the titles from Telltale game at this point, and one of the latest in their lineup is Minecraft: Story Mode. The game features plenty of adventure and a narrative that is mostly shaped by the player, as decisions you make will shift the direction of the story. You’ll find the storytelling prowess that Telltale is known for here mixed with all the blocky goodness that Minecraft players love.

Botanicula is not a new game, but it is an adventure title and a great one at that, coming from the same people who put together the wonderful Machinarium. Together with your band of little creatures, the goal here is to save the last remaining seed from parasites. You’ll encounter puzzles to solve and giant creatures to run from as you traverse tons of beautiful environments that play heavily to visual appeal.
